Backshells
ISG supplies circular and D-type connector backshells for military, aerospace and industrial applications. Our portfolio includes screened and non-screened backshells in straight, 45°, 90° and in-line configurations, manufactured from aluminium alloy, stainless steel, nickel aluminium bronze and composite materials. Products are available to AS85049 and customer-specific requirements.
Our circular backshells feature 360° EMI braid termination, O-ring environmental seals and cable clamp strain relief for all standard circular connector series including MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-5015 and MIL-DTL-26482. The D-type range includes KD2 series backshells for standard D-sub connector sizes (09, 15, 25, 37 and 50), providing screened EMC shielding with band strap systems, circular or elliptical cable entries and environmental sealing via heat shrink boots. Non-screened types include solid, spin-coupling, spin-lock and tinel-lock configurations, while screened types range from braided tail and HexaShield to KTKK assemblies.
